Robert B.Cialdini (Bob Cialdini) is a well known social psychologist who is currently a professor of psychology at Arizona State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed postdoctoral work at Columbia University. He has held Visiting Scholar appointments at Ohio State University, the University of California, the Annenberg School of Communications, and the Graduate School of Business of Stanford University.

He is best known for his popular book on persuasion and marketing, "Influence: the Psychology of Persuasion." His book has also been published as a textbook.
