He states his case for authentic leadership: values centered and performance oriented leadership, using a candid and open style. He writes about his many experiences in a leadership role: as CEO of Medtronic and with Litton, and Honeywell - describing challenges leaders faced and how they dealt with them. This isn't a book about growing profits, increasing stock value but about how truly authentic leadership does all of those things plus more. Authentic Leadership is a refreshing book, written by an executive who stresses ethical leadership at a time when we have dealt with a series of corporate scandals.
